If Montgomery County Schools are closed or delayed all morning classes & programs will be cancelled.
We will
open for afternoon & evening classes only.
If extreme conditions exist,
please listen to phone recording & this webpage for cancellations.
All scheduled BIRTHDAY PARTIES will be held unless cancelled by host regardless of school closures.
WEEKEND classes held at all locations will be cancelled if schools are cancelled or delayed (these School closures are announced on TV & radio just like on a weekday). If there is an extreme emergency (blizzard, power outages, etc.), please call 301-975-0099 and listen to our recording.
OFF-SITE Class Cancellation Policy:
Montgomery County Recreation... All classes
will be cancelled if Montgomery County Schools are closed. If schools
are delayed, all classes scheduled prior to 12-Noon are cancelled, all classes scheduled after 12-noon will be held ontime as scheduled. The cancelled classes will be made up at the end of the session if possible. Classes are cancelled for school holidays, but are NOT cancelled on Teacher Professional Days.
Howard County Recreation... All classes
will be cancelled if Howard County Schools are closed
or delayed. The class will be made up at the end of the session if possible. Classes ARE cancelled for school holidays and Teacher Professional Days.
City of Rockville & City of Gaithersburg... These classes will
be cancelled if Montgomery County Schools are closed, if classes are delayed, morning classes are cancelled, afternoon classes are held. The
class will be made up at the end of the session if possible. Classes are cancelled for school holidays, but are NOT cancelled on Teacher Professional Days.
Frederick County, MD... During inclement weather, if you are registered in a Frederick County Recreation Class please call the Fred. Co. Parks & Rec Cancellation Line at 301-600-6291. Closures for classes in this county are announced on this phone line and are not associated with school closures. Morning class closures should be announced on this phone line by 7am and afternoon class closures should be announced by 2pm. Please be sure to call this phone number prior to venturing out to class or use your best judgement for safety.
McLean, South Run & Cub Run Rec Centers in Virginia... All Funfit classes are cancelled if Fairfax
County Schools are closed. If Fairfax County schools are delayed, Funfit classes will start on time at MCLEAN Comm. Ctr., Classes held at CUB RUN are cancelled if their start time is prior to 11am. Class makeup days will
be announced. Classes are cancelled for most school holidays, but are NOT cancelled on Teacher Professional Days.

FROM THE SOUTH/EAST: 495 Beltway to Exit 28A / NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE NORTH (toward White Oak) and continue about 10.5 miles to the traffic light at Rt. 108/Ashton Rd and make a RIGHT, go 1/2 mile to Blueberry Gardens on RIGHT.
FROM THE NORTH VIA ICC/200(Toll Road): I-270 South to Exit 9 B-A to merge onto I-370 E towards MD 200E/ICC, continueon ICC to Exit 9B onto MD 97/Georgia Ave (to Olney), continue for 2.5 miles to light at Rt. 108/Olney-Laytonsville Rd. and make a RIGHT onto 108. Continue 3.7 miles (becomes Ashton Rd.) to just 1/2 mile past New Hampshire Ave to 237 Ashton Rd, Blueberry Gardens on RIGHT.
FROM COLUMBIA: US-29 South/Columbia Pike to MD-32W/Clarksville for about 4 miles. Take exit toward MD-108West/Clarksville Pike. Continue on Rt. 108W/Clarksville Pk. Continue about 5.6 miles (becomes Ashton Rd.) to address 237 Ashton Rd. Blueberry Gardens on LEFT.

FROM THE SOUTH: Take I-270N to EXIT 15A GERMANTOWN RD/MD-118 N. and get in farthest LEFT Lane to exit for Seneca Meadows Pkwy. Merge onto Germantown Rd & get in LEFT LANE immediately after passing entrance tot 270N. Turn LEFT onto SENECA MEADOWS PKWY. and proceed 0.8 mi to Healthtrax at the Suburban Wellness Center on LEFT.
FROM THE NORTH: Take I-270S to FATHER HURLEY BOULEVARD, EXIT 16, toward MD-27/DAMASCUS. EXIT LEFT onto FATHER HURLEY BLVD. Turn RIGHT at LIGHT onto OBSERVATION DR. Turn RIGHT onto SENECA MEADOWS PKWY to Healthtrax at the Suburban Wellness Center on RIGHT.
FROM DAMASCUS: Take MD-27 towards Germantown, through the light at MD355, past Milestone Center to next light at OBSERVATION DR and turn LEFT. Turn RIGHT onto SENECA MEADOWS PKWY to Healthtrax at the Suburban Wellness Center on RIGHT.
